Whether you have a house or an apartment, decorating your rooms with the most beautiful green plants is always a pleasure! Indeed, plants bring a touch of nature into your interior and can find their place in each of your rooms. However, it is necessary to know your plants and their light needs well, in order to place them in the right room, thus ensuring that the exposure will be adequate. So, you will need to choose your indoor plants according to the light you have at home.

Plants for a bright interior

If you have a bright interior, bathed in light and warmth, you will be spoiled for choice! Ficus,  Yucca,  Cactus,  Succulent… you can indulge yourself according to your tastes and the space you have. All exotic plants that come from hot and sunny countries need a lot of natural light to feel good and develop properly.

Plants for an interior without light

If your interior is not very bright, don't panic! There are many options available to you! So you won't have to sacrifice the green interior you want so much. The lack of light will not prevent climbing plants such as Dracaneas, THE Ivy and the Ferns to be doing wonderfully. This is also the case for its cousins, the Calathea, the Azalea  or even the Dieffenbachia, the good news is that not all of these plant varieties will need high light to be healthy!

Plants for a subdued interior

Finally, if your interior is rather subdued, you will also have the possibility to choose from many varieties of plants, since many of them need natural light to be in shape, but in a moderate way, without direct sunlight. For example, the Ficus which we mentioned above in this article, is a plant that likes light but if you gradually adapt it to less light, it will tolerate being in the shade very well.
