What is a terrarium ?

As a reminder, a terrarium is a glass jar containing: tropical plants suitable for cultivation in terrarium, vegetable moss, pozzolana, sphagnum moss and decorations (pebbles, pebbles).

A closed terrarium does not require much maintenance: watering 1 to 2 times a year is enough and to maintain it weprune the plants when the leaves touch the walls of the jar. Finally, a terrarium must be displayed in a bright room without direct sunlight, the sun could burn your plants.

What is the role of foam in a terrarium ?

Moss, thanks to its humidifying and oxygenating properties, therefore plays a fundamental role in the life of a terrarium.
It also serves as a witness to know when you need to water your terrarium.

What to do if your foams turn yellow ?

A terrarium is autumn but it requires a minimum of vigilance especially regarding the moss ! The change in color of the moss can be explained firstly by the fact that your terrarium does not irrigate naturally enough and lacks water. Or  it may be that your terrarium is in a location that is too bright, which dries out and will tarnish little by little. small the color of your foam.
So that the moss regains its pretty green color, two options are available to you:
First option:
Lightly water the moss using a spray bottle.
If this does not work and your foam remains light green or yellow, you should try the second option below.
Second option:
1.Have a bin or a large container
2.Pour water up to half
3.Take your moss out of the terrarium and immerse them inside
4.Wait 30 minutes to see if your moss turns green again.

If it does not change color, in this case you will have to buy more foam to restore the beauty of your terrarium.
-Take the moss out of its packaging and plant it. The most important thing is to press well when planting the moss so that they can get moisture from the soil.
-You can also divide it to best arrange your miniature garden.
-Then water it using the spray bottle.
