POTTING, CUTTINGS, DIVISION OF CALATHEA ORBIFOLIA
Repotting Calathea does not require any special potting soil; potting soil for indoor green plants will be suitable. You can repot your Calathea every year in a slightly larger pot, or wait for its roots to emerge from the pot.
The Calathea Orbifolia cannot be cutting . When it is large enough you can divide it, simply unpot it and separate the stems and rhizomes present.
FREQUENT PROBLEMS
-
Yellow leaves.
This is probably caused by excess water, unless your potting soil is completely dry. To be sure to water correctly your plant you can take it out of its pot cover and water it slowly with a watering can with a long spout until that the water comes out at the bottom of the pot.
-
The leaves curl or turn brown.
This phenomenon often occurs when the plant lacks water or the air is too dry.
