CLEANING AND PRUNING THE CALATHEAÂ MAKOYANA
It is recommended tospray Calathea several times a week, or even daily, in order to clean their leaves and repel insects and spiders .
If one of the oldest leaves dries or turns yellow, don't worry, it happens. You cancut it at the base.
POTTING, CUTTINGS, DIVISION OF THE CALATHEAÂ MAKOYANA
The Calathea Makoyana does not need specific potting soil, you can use potting soil forgreen plants indoors. So when the oldest leaves turn yellow, your plant is no longer growing or when its roots come out of the bottom of the pot, you can repot your Calathea. To do this, equip yourself with a pot with a diameter two or three centimeters larger and transfer your plant! Don't forget to scrape the soil at the roots so that it is replaced by your new potting soil .
Calathea plants do nottake cuttings , however you can divide during repotting .
